I spent a few years at Google; Built an Edtech startup that is now the core tech for a Mark Zuckerberg education institution; I trained as a designer; and have spent most of my life meditating on matters of the human soul. I brought all these ideas together to start the Life Design Lab @ Google, where more than 10000 Googlers have joined a movement to connect with human purpose. I now get invited to organizations like IDEO, Pinterest and INSEAD to talk about work in the future, Humans after AI and Education for new decades. I also run O School where I work with interdisciplinary folks to bring new education ideas into the world.

The more interesting part of my life

I was muslim boy in a catholic primary school so I attended church on friday mornings followed by mosque on friday night. I went to a jewish high school to get a diverse education and used buddhism to better understand my faith. Scientists like Sam Harris and Davids Hawkins have helped me understand the mind. And mystics like Eckhart Tolle and Jason Silva helped me better capture the esssence of being human.

But I also grew up in an entrepreneurial family. And like most Indian kids, I basically had an MBA by age 12, because all our parents discuss every night at the dining room table is revenue strategy and life problems. And when revenue isn’t great then we turn to God and look for vaster answers in the universe. So I’ve also been excited about business, but more specifically how business ties in with mans search for the life’s deeper truths. Because that’s all that matters when things don’t work out, and things don’t work out often until we start with first principles.
